bebe@20 weeks

Tomorrow, December 24th my baby turns 5 months! Time runs so fast and after a month, we can already know the gender (this is what we've been waiting for!) I've been so excited and wanting to know if I will be naming a girl or a boy. I've been wanting to buy baby stuff already but oldies say that I should do it on a later time. Huh! One of my friends advised me not to have an ultrasound for it to be a surprise one but I instantly said "No!" since I really wanted to prepare the baby's stuff and other things in advance. For me, it would be easier and convenient to have all the stuff prepared with proper "color". Pink and Blue are very important colors in a baby's life as well as for the parents. I don't want to guess every now and then until I give birth or, just buy stuff which are unisex. (it's hard to find those nowadays!)

I am so excited to have an ultrasound next month on my check up, however, Dra will be giving birth as well! I have no choice but to wait for her :( In that case, it would be done by February which is an additional agony for me. hahaha I just hope GOD grants us what we are praying for and if not, it's fine! It is still a blessing and for as long as the baby is healthy, we are very thankful for it.

So, Christmas is around the corner! Our little angel is the best gift I've received so when hubby asked me what gift I want, I can't think of anything. Maybe, its because I am so blessed in many ways and that, this little angel completes us.

To GOD be the Glory! Thank you for this gift of life.
..And to our Lord Creator, Happy Happy Birthday!

bebe@14 weeks

Last Saturday, we visited my OB-Gyne again and it was a very positive one. We were so happy since my lab test results were all good and so far my sugar is normal. Dra said that if my FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) result for next month is good, we might stop the intake of Metformin (medicine which controls sugar). I was also surprised since I have not gained weight for more than a month now. Actually, I am only allowed to gain a kilo per month since I am already overweight (huhuhu).
Baby's heartbeat is very fast and Dra did not have a hard time locating it unlike before. She said that my baby also grew bigger and soon I should expect some movements. Actually, I am getting excited each month since by Christmas time, my tummy will be bulging.

This is how my baby looks like at 14 weeks :

I Just had another ultrasound last Tuesday to make sure that the blood formed inside my womb is already gone. I was so happy when Dra. Ann told me that my baby is stronger and the heartbeat is even faster. We were so worried since the first ultrasound showed a blood formation inside which can actually lead to the death of the baby if not given proper attention. Though I still had some spotting the week before, I am now confident that we are both safe. All I need is more rest and was advised to get back to work by the first week of November since the baby will turn 3 months by then. That will be the end of the danger for me.
Right now, I am still extra careful since I might still bleed anytime. But, thanks to my OB-Gyne who is very caring and really shows genuine concern for our safety.

d MiraCLe!

Few months ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycistic Ovaries). To cure it, I went through a lot of blood tests and medications. I never thought that I will get pregnant easily with my condition. It did take a lot of patience and effort.

Last July, I was delayed for more than 40days and got quite excited to the fact that I might be pregnant. But I was not! I was quite disappointed then. So, the next month I did not expect anything. I was again delayed but never thought of being pregnant. Until, it came to a point that I got bored in waiting for my menstruation after 1 and 1/2 months. It was 6 am of Sept 22 and I was just having my morning visit to the bathroom. Then I saw the PT and just thought of having a test. To my surprise, I got two red lines after just 10 seconds. I was shocked for a few seconds then I ran towards hubby who was still sleeping that time. I told him that it's positive! He can't believe it so he asked for the PT. That's the only time he believed me :) Then what happened next were so memorable! I can't forget how tight he hugged me. The smile on his face was so sweet and I can't hold the tears which fell down my cheeks. That was such a moment!

And now, I am 7-8 weeks pregnant and I am getting excited each day. Though I was advised to take a bed rest for 2 weeks, I wanna make the most out of it. I hope that everything turns out fine after 2 weeks.

BeR Na!

I noticed that its been quite a while since I last posted a blog entry. I am not too busy, yet I do not have an open schedule. Even me, I can't explain why I am not posting lately. Anyway, what's important is that I am getting back online slowly.

I can't believe that Christmas is fast approaching! :)

So, what does Christmas mean to us? Is it just about bonuses, gift giving, or good financial status? For most of us, Christmas is something to look forward to. However, it is also something that we tend to forget its meaning. Every year, we celebrate this special day but do we do it differently? I am actually thinking as early as now what to do differently this year. I feel like I need to make the celebration more selflessly and focus on doing more sacrifices to others.
Despite of all the negativism happening, it will make life easier for all of us if we give love and think of others not just ourselves. Let us learn to share our blessings (it maybe great or small) since this will make a big impact on others' lives. I believe, men are born good. Sometimes, we just need to be reminded. Let us count or blessings each day and we will see how rich we are.

I hope I can attain my year's goal!

So, who's up for the challenge?

miXed EmotiOnS

This is the 2nd part of my previous article about my case. As I have posted before, I will be undergoing a process with my case -PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome).

As of now, I am about to finish the third month of the first step - Taking pills to regulate my menstruation. I am kinda excited since I will need to see my OB-Gyne soon once my period comes. That means, I will be moving on to the next step - Ovulation. This means that I maybe taking fertility pills and need to schedule contact during my ovulation period.

I am so excited since I know my desire of having a baby is very near. We can already determine if it will work on not. I am now crossing my fingers since I might need a miracle on this.

But then, still I lift everything to the Lord on this. HE is still the one who knows what's best for me and hubby. In HIS right time, I know he will give it to us. And if not, I am sure that there are some other options.

Friends, please do help me through your prayers. Prayers do miracles.

Last Tuesday, hubby and I went for a little food trip. We landed on an Italian resto since we were looking for something different from the ordinary. Just got a few shots though.

We were full and satisfied after we paid more than 500Php. We did not regret it though since the food was superb!

miXed EmotiOnS

I've consulted my OB-GYNE a week ago since my husband and I really wanted to have a baby soon. During our first meeting, I was advised to have an ultrasound to see what the problem is. Last Tuesday, I've undergone a TVS (trans vaginal ultrasound) and based on the result I am positive with poly cystic ovarian disease.

Based on my own research, "Polycystic ovary disease affects hormone cycles. In poly cystic ovary disease, there are many poorly developed follicles in the ovaries. The eggs in these follicles do not mature and, therefore, cannot be released from the ovaries. Instead, they form cysts in the ovary. This can contribute to infertility."

Dra. Analyn Serrano -Reyes was so patient in explaining my case and ensured that I understood everything that we need to do. For three months, I will be taking pills to normalize my menstruation and after that, medicines for ovulation will be given. For me, this is not a sure positive outcome but I am very optimistic with the whole process. With the undying support of my family and hubby, I am sure that I will conceive soon. In GOD's grace, we will soon have our own family.

This is how it looks like.

FirSt AnNiveRsaRy!

Today marks my first year with USSC. It's been a year since I had my FLA training in Quezon City. I can still remember the nervousness and the worries that I had before the training. I was thinking of my room mates, the training methods and the people who will be with me for the next 2 weeks of my stay there. Also, I am not used to the life there. I am just a simple woman from the province so I really had a lot of " ifs and buts" at that time.

When the training started, all the worries were washed away. My room mates were kind and jolly. The trainers were good and supportive. The company is great! The people around me were good. Honestly, I had a great time during the training. But then, everything has an end so after 2 weeks, I had to head back home.

And since it is our first anniversary, I want to re post our pictures taken on our last day of training before our brains were wiped out with the exams!
Miss you guys :)

Experts say that this year is El Nino. Actually, everyone can feel the heat of this year's Summer season. I, myself is one of the many people who complains about the hot temperature.

Few days ago, I noticed that my hair loss has drastically increased. I have been using aloe vera to increase hair growth and decrease the hair loss however, still I can see falling hair. Hubby noticed the hair loss as well so he suggested that I should cut my hair short. I thought of it for a few hours and after considering the condition of my hair, I decided to have a hair cut.

It's been a while since I last cut my hair short. Right now, I feel light! I am just worried though, that my hair won't grow that long anymore. For now, I just wanna enjoy the new look :)

my 29th bday!

I can't believe that I am a year older again! Soon, I will be out of the calendar hahha But my celebration for this year is the most extravagant. It is a three day celebration which started yesterday at the office. My office mate gave me a cake, then I bought spaghetti and my best friend bought an ice cream. It was like a children's party but I really appreciated it.

Today, on my birthday my hubby cooked for me. I was really touched since he was so tired in cooking for me. We had Ceasar's salad for the side dish, chili buffalo wings for the main course, potato mojos in lieu of the rice and Charlie Chan Chicken pasta for merienda.

Tomorrow, we will be going home and will have Lasagna, ham and cheese roll and ice cream (courtesy of Ate). I will be posting more pics tomorrow :) For now, here is what I got :
